    TWO NEW COLUMNS
Obviously terrorism and America's response to it are the issues of the day. On that note, I have two new columns. First, there's Sunday's from the Daily News -- my response to the oft-repeated claim that Sept. 11 disproves the need for missile defense. It's called Feinstein's missile logic misses mark. Then, in today's edition of FrontPagemag.com, I have The Return of Moral Equivalence, an examination of an old and inane -- but resurgent -- philosophy.

Comments, as always, are much appreciated.

    THAT'S NONPARTISANSHIP
Gerald Posner, a prominent Democrat who blasted George W. Bush throughout the presidential campaign and during the five-week imbroglio that followed it, has published a mea culpa in today's Wall Street Journal. In I Was Wrong About Bush, Posner explains how, in the last week, the President has convinced him that he truly has what it takes to lead the country -- that the sniping critics, of which Posner was one, were wrong when they complained about a lack of competence.

It's a courageous piece. I hope and pray that if the tables were turned, I'd be that humble and forthright.
